Help & Support
Answers to the questions we hear most, split into two tracks. Search below, or jump to the one that fits you.
For clients
Finding a barber, booking, and paying.
How do I book an appointment?
Open Fadehaus, find a shop or barber near you, and pick the service you want. Choose an open time, and confirm. Availability is live, so every slot you see is real and yours the moment you book.
You get a confirmation right away, and a reminder before your visit so it does not sneak up on you.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Yes. Open the appointment and choose Reschedule to pick a new time, or Cancel to release the slot. Doing it early is a kindness, since it lets your barber fill the chair.
Some shops set a cancellation window and a deposit or no-show policy. When they do, it is shown clearly before you book.
What if I miss my appointment?
Each shop sets its own no-show policy, shown before you book. Some hold a deposit or charge a no-show fee for a missed visit.
If your plans change, cancel or reschedule ahead of time. It keeps the chair working and keeps you in good standing.
How do payments and refunds work?
Payments run securely in-app through Stripe. Tips are optional and always yours to decide. Your card details go straight to Stripe, never to us.
If something was not right, reach out to the shop first, since refunds follow the shop's own policy. If you cannot reach them, email [email protected] and we will help sort it out.
How do I manage my account?
Your profile, notification settings, and appearance live under Settings in the app. Your Passport keeps a history of your cuts so “same as last time” is repeatable anywhere.
You can delete your account any time from Settings, then Account, or at fadehaus.com/delete-account.
For barbershops
Setting up, running your chair, and getting paid.
How do I get set up?
Open Fadehaus and switch to barber or shop mode, then follow onboarding. You add your shop or chair, your services and prices, and your working hours. It takes a few minutes, and you can refine it later.
New shops get a quick review before they appear in discovery, so clients only find profiles that are ready.
How do calendars and hours work?
Set your weekly working hours, then layer on holidays and time off when you need a break. Your live availability is built from those hours, so clients only ever see times you can actually take.
The day board shows your appointments and walk-ins together, so the front desk and the chair stay in sync.
How do services and memberships work?
Build your menu with the service builder: name each service, set its price and how long it takes, and add optional add-ons. A shop can let each barber define their own services, or share one shop menu, whichever fits how you work.
Accurate durations keep your calendar honest, so back-to-back bookings leave room for the real cut.
How do I get paid and see payouts?
Payouts run through Stripe. During setup you connect a Stripe payout account with your bank details, entered directly into Stripe. In-app payments and tips are then paid out to you on Stripe's schedule.
Fadehaus never sees or stores your full bank details. Your earnings and appointment stats live in your analytics.
How does marketing to my clients work?
You can send loyalty and promotional messages, but only to clients who have opted in through the app. Consent is explicit and off by default, which keeps your list clean and your messages welcome.
Transactional messages like confirmations and reminders go out on their own, so the essentials never depend on marketing settings.
