How Fadehaus text messaging works

SMS / Text Messaging

The short version

Fadehaus texts you the things that keep a booking on track, such as confirmations, reminders, and sign-in codes. Promotional and loyalty offers from the barbershops you use are a separate choice: they are off by default and only ever sent if you turn them on in the app. You can opt out of texts any time by replying STOP or turning the toggle off. Reply HELP for help.

What texts we send

There are two kinds of text messages on Fadehaus, and they are controlled separately.

Transactional messages keep your appointment and account working. These include:

  • Appointment confirmations when you book
  • Appointment reminders before your visit
  • Waitlist and walk-in queue alerts (for example, when you are next up)
  • Verification and sign-in codes (one-time passcodes)
  • Account and security notices

When you sign in, you enter your phone number to receive a one-time code. That screen shows exactly what you are agreeing to before any text is sent, including how to opt out:

Fadehaus app sign-in screen: enter your phone number, with the notice: By tapping Send code, you agree to receive a one-time verification code from Fadehaus by SMS. Message and data rates may apply. Messages are transactional only, one per request. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Includes a Privacy Policy link.
The sign-in screen — verification texts require your phone number and show the SMS consent notice, with STOP / HELP, before any code is sent.

Promotional and loyalty messages are offers from the barbershops and barbers you use, such as a discount, a loyalty reward, or news about openings. These require a separate, explicit opt-in and are never sent unless you turn them on. We do not send promotional texts on behalf of any business you have not chosen to hear from.

How you opt in

Promotional and loyalty texts are off by default. Opting in is an explicit choice you make inside the Fadehaus app:

Settings Notifications Text messages

On that screen you turn on Text me notifications and choose which texts you want; promotional and loyalty texts are a separate opt-in that starts in the off position, so nothing promotional is ever sent without your action. The same screen states Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help and links to our Privacy Policy. Consent to promotional texts is never a condition of booking or of using Fadehaus.

How you opt out

You can stop Fadehaus texts at any time, two ways:

  • Reply STOP to any Fadehaus text message. We stop sending you texts.
  • Turn the toggle off in the app, on the same Settings › Notifications › Text messages screen shown below.

Reply HELP to any Fadehaus text for help and contact information. The screenshot below is the exact settings screen in the app, where every toggle can be turned on or off, and which shows the line Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Message frequency, rates, and your number

  • Message frequency varies with your activity, such as how often you book or which offers a shop sends.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • We do not sell or share your phone number for third-party marketing. SMS opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing, and are shared with our SMS delivery provider only to deliver the messages you asked for.
