Effective 2026
Fadehaus is a barbershop booking and discovery app. We're pre-launch right now, which means the website you're on and the waitlist are basically the whole operation. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it — in plain language, because that's how we'd want it explained to us.
What we collect
Right now: if you join the waitlist, we collect your email address. That's it. We also note where on the page you signed up and the browser you used, which helps us understand what's working.
When the app launches: we'll collect what's needed to run the service:
- Account info — your name, email, and profile details you choose to add.
- Appointments and booking history — the services you book, when, and with which barber, so bookings and your Passport actually work.
- Approximate location — to show you barbers and shops near you. This is what the map is for, and it's only collected when you use it.
We collect this only to run the service. Nothing here is gathered for its own sake.
How we use it
- To email you when we launch (that's the waitlist's one job).
- To run bookings — connecting you with barbers, confirming appointments, keeping your history straight.
- To improve the app based on how it's actually used.
We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
Who we share it with
Only the infrastructure providers that run the service — for example, our hosting and database provider. They process data on our behalf, only as needed to keep the service running, and nothing more. We don't hand your information to third parties for their own purposes.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe anytime. Every email we send has a way out, and we'll honor it.
- Get your data or delete it. Email us at [email protected] and we'll send you what we have or remove it entirely.
Children
Fadehaus isn't directed at kids under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If anything here changes, we'll post the update on this page. Meaningful changes will come with a heads-up, not a silent edit.
